Lead was engaged by Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) to provide strategic grant funding application assistance for the Mutitjulu Staff Accommodation Project. As a result, ARRCS was successfully awarded $3.2 million (excl. GST) in capital funding under the Aged Care Capital Assistance Program (ACCAP). This initiative is specifically designed to address critical workforce challenges in remote areas by providing fit-for-purpose housing, ultimately ensuring the sustainability of culturally safe care for Aboriginal Elders in the Central Australia region.
To bridge the gap between design consultants, contractors, and ARRCS management, Lead has been engaged as Project Manager and Superintendent. The project involves the construction of two permanent one-bedroom staff units with ensuites, a shared communal living space, a secure storage shed, and staff car park on ARRCS managed land adjacent to the Nganampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nya Flexible Aged Care Facility. Lead provides structured governance and practical oversight, managing project staging, timelines, and budget risks while protecting the cultural integrity of the delivery within the Mutitjulu community.
As part of the end-to-end delivery, Lead’s commissioning team is overseeing the procurement of Furniture, Fittings, and Equipment (FF&E). This involves developing a comprehensive schedule that aligns with ACCAP approved budget limits and cultural considerations. Lead manages the entire procurement process, from issuing requests for quotes to coordinating logistics and installation, ensuring all building components are fully operational. This approach guarantees that the facility is ready for immediate occupation, allowing staff to move into a stable and safe living environment.
