Our Approach
Commitment to Reconciliation
Lead believes the path to reconciliation is essential to recognising and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As reconciliation is an ongoing journey, our business is committed to improving and implementing internal policies and procedures, strengthening our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations and building a better future based on equality.
From working alongside the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we became motivated to further deepen our commitment towards reconciliation. In January 2023, we launched our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our Reflect RAP was to hold us accountable in building and strengthening relationships with Indigenous stakeholders, respecting and deepening our understanding of cultural protocols, providing partnership and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and job seekers, and provide guidance in our commitment to reconciliation and a future of purposeful engagement with Australia’s First Nations Peoples.

In July 2025, we launched our Innovate RAP, further solidifying our commitment to reconciliation. Lead’s Innovate RAP reflects our commitment to embedding reconciliation into every aspect of our operations. Our emphasis is on building genuine, respectful, and enduring relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring their voices and perspectives guide project delivery, governance, and workforce decisions.
Our RAP plan aims to strengthen cultural capability across the organisation, expand opportunities for Indigenous employment and procurement, and celebrate cultural protocols, events, and knowledge-sharing. By deepening collaboration with communities and stakeholders, Lead intends to deliver projects that are not only technically successful but also culturally inclusive and socially responsible.
The Innovate RAP builds on the achievements of the Reflect RAP, setting clear actions to increase visibility, accountability, and outcomes, while reinforcing Lead’s role as a trusted partner in driving meaningful reconciliation across Australia.

Integrated Management

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) is based on effectiveness and efficiency, focusing on continuous improvement.
Through our IMS, Lead fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and safety, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and communities. Our approach formalises processes for project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and reporting, ensuring each project is executed to the highest standards of quality and probity. Importantly, the IMS also reflects Lead’s broader values, embedding sustainability, inclusivity, and reconciliation commitments into day-to-day practice, so that every project contributes not just to successful delivery, but to long-term positive impact for people and communities
